I have been seeing this pretty white bottle for quite some time and it has been in every blogger’s recommended list. And so, I thought of giving this a try. I wanted to wait till I get my hands on the travel size bottle to check how it worked on my skin and mainly because it’s a costly product! And in spite of it being quite heavy on the pocket, this product managed to go out of stock pretty fast. That I found really impressive and when I saw the travel pack show up in my seller’s feed, I immediately asked her to send me a bottle. And here it is, my first bottle of beauty water and I actually loved this one.

On a different note… I just realized I have been reviewing mostly the products I loved, and I should rant on the products I don’t like in my blog too! 😛

The reason that I took so much time in buying a bottle is I was not sure what it was?! When this started showing in my feed nearly a year back(these beauty products take time to enter India) I remember asking a blogger – “is it a toner?”, she replied, “Its more than a toner! Much more…”. This reply kept ringing in my head. I had to be sure of what it was before buying. I read a lot of reviews and most of them have been positive about it. And finally, I gave in the curiosity and ordered one for myself.

What is beauty water?

In terms of kbeauty any water-based liquid skin care can be called beauty water, but this one by Son & Park is special. It’s a multi-tasking liquid skincare which became a cult favorite rather quickly! So much that it actually won the Soko Glam Beauty Award in 2015!

‘ The Beauty Water is not just a cleanser but it mildly exfoliates with willow bark and papaya extract to sweep away dead skin cells, revealing brighter skin tone and smoother texture. Lavender water, rose-water, and orange fruit extract subtle hydration so your skin can be prepped to absorb the next skincare steps, while adding in a bit of moisture.

Beauty water can be used in the morning to create a perfect canvas for makeup application, midday as a refresher, and night after cleansing to whisk away remaining impurities. For normal, oily, dry, and combination skin types. Beauty Water has a pH of 4.5, effectively resetting the skin’s natural pH after cleaning

How to use it?

After you cleanse your face, dab cotton with the product and sweep it across your face gently. Follow it up with your usual skincare routine ending with sun protection.

What are the ingredients in this product?

I found the ingredient list from Soko Glam – Water, Rose Damascena Flower Water, Orange Peel Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana Water, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, PEG – 7 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Alcohol Denat, Xylitol, Phenoxyethanol, Decyl Glucoside, PEG – 40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis(Orange) peel, Grapefruit peel oil, Lavandula Angustifolia(Lavender) oil, Cedrus Atlantica Bark oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia(Lavender) water, Carica Papaya (papaya) fruit water, Capaifera Officinale (Jasmine), Illicium verum(Anise) Fruit/Seed Oil, Sodium Lactate, Sodium PCA, Artemisia Absinthium Extract, Rose flower oil, Propylene Glycol, Thuja Occidentalis leaf extract, Lavandula Augustifolia (Lavender) flower/stem/leaf extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis(Rosemary) extract, Pelargonium Graveolens extract, Mentha Rotundifolia Leaf extract, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea tree) Leaf extract, Thymus Vulgaris(thyme) Leaf extract, Mentha Piperita (peppermint) Leaf extract, mentha Spicata flower/leaf/stem extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Chorphenesin, Methylparaben, Dehydrophenesin, Methylparaben, Dehydroacetic Acid, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben

So, we have got alcohol, emulsifiers, and preservatives, a combination that I find is not alarming to the skin. And the amazing list of water-based ingredients makes this more than micellar water helping it fight dullness and uneven skin tone.

Packaging – Very sleek and sophisticated.

Fragrance – A very faint and soothing smell that calms your senses

Price – 600/- INR for 60ml & 2499/- INR for 340ml

Where did I buy from – SkinBlissSkin (my favorite Instagram store)

I bought this product with a lot of hope. While lately I have been trying to get into water-based products because my skin has been extra sensitive after the infection, I was a little skeptical because the product has alcohol. But while doing my research on the product I hardly found a negative review of this product and I had to give it a try. This beauty water seemed to be a perfect combination of everything good in a bottle.

This clever mix of ingredients in Son&Park Beauty Water makes it a work in a number of ways –

  • As a toner
  • As a makeup base
  • As a makeup remover
  • A refreshing mist

It’s been a month using this magic potion and I am already loving this one. I have been using it as a toner essence and I love how this works as a skin brightener. I like the fact that even though it is watery it hydrates my skin so well and exfoliates well as well. It has been a savior in this winter, helping me keep my skin smooth and healthy.

I haven’t tried it as a makeup remover and I do not intend to either but it shall remain as a skin essential in my shelf for sure!

Would I recommend it?! – Even though this product is on the expensive side, I would still recommend it highly! Because of the amount of product that does the work, I promise one bottle will go a long long way! And I am definitely going for a bigger bottle next time. This shall be my go-to product for some time. I loved it!

Do let me know if you have used this product and if you liked it. And if there’s any other product you would like me to review 🙂

Till next time… Keep Glowing!
