Kbeauty Step 2 – Water Based Cleansing : Palson’s RidAcne Foaming Face-wash Review

In kbeauty we often talk about the importance of double cleansing. Before we go ahead… do go through Kbeauty Step 1 – Oil Cleansing : Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Cleanser Review  to know more about double cleansing and also read a review of the very awesome and pocket friendly oil based cleanser that I am using for a while. 🙂

It’s just a little less than a year that I have started following the Kbeauty routine or just following any routine at all for my skin. Previously I was ignorant, lazy and also disinterested to say the least. But you suddenly realize that you genetically beautiful skin to realize some care and that’s what happened with me and I am glad that happened before it was too late. When you take your skin seriously you pay attention that you cannot go to bed with unwashed dirty skin! And Koreans are obsessed with making your skin squeaky clean every time you are to follow their routine, and that makes complete sense when you understand the science behind our skin –

Underneath your skin are sebaceous glands that excrete sebum, and sebum has many functions. It binds to dead skin cells and travels out via your hair follicles and through your pores as a way to protect your skin, but also possibly as a way to deliver antioxidants, like vitamin E, to the skin’s surface. The delivery of vitamin E through sebum, the research paper’s authors hypothesize, may play a role in maintaining skin health. If your pores are clogged from a mixture of sebum and outside pollutants, the process backs up and builds up, potentially along with bacteria. The result? Whiteheads, blackheads, cysts, blemishes, and acne. So, for those of us who have oilier skin, sweat a lot, have skin conditions that require it, or wear makeup—there’s no other way to skin it—we need wash our faces right.

So skin cleaning is a must!

It was only a few months that I have started following the double cleansing religiously in my routine and I haven’t regretted ever since. And even though at times I stick to only a cream and a sunscreen in my routine but the double cleansing at night before bed is something I follow.

I have been using any face wash available in the market but in December when I started having skin allergy, my dermatologist suggested that I go for a gentle foam based cleanser that is formulated for sensitive skin. They are gentle on skin and they won’t make my skin too dry. That’s when I started using this.

My verdict

As a foam based cleanser it delivered what I wanted it to. I have been using twice a day and my skin has only been feeling fresher and clearer.

Cons – Non-oily, a safe and non-irritant formula that cleanses the skin, clear dirt and impurities from it
– Reduces stickiness & acne spot and provide deep cleansing action on pores
– Reduces the germs and bacteria which cause acne and prevents excessive dryness of the skin

Pros – Might cause occasional dryness if your skin is already very dry.

Would I recommend it? – If your skin is sensitive and acne prone then its a good buy. And also for skin that is normal or combination and prone to allergies like mine then it shall work great too. But I am not really sure, how it would work for a dry skin.

That’s all for the day!  Guys do lemme know if you all are using some other water based face wash that would work good for my skin too .. I would love to give a try 🙂

Till next time… Keep glowing!
